Why bring your child to our nursery?
Your child can benefit a great deal from spending his or her days at our nursery. When should I reserve a nursery place for my child?
You can register your child at any time. Usually families reserve a nursery place about two to six months prior to the child’s arrival here. However, at Kinderparadies Day Care Nursery on In Böden in Affoltern we are always open to your registration on short notice or your spontaneous registration. From what age are children welcome at the nursery?
After the conclusion of the maternity protection period (14 weeks) you can register your child at the majority of day care nurseries. Kinderparadies Day Care Nursery Affoltern welcomes your child from the end of maternity protection up to kindergarten age.
How do you ensure that the transition from family life at home to life at the nursery will work?
A period of gently, carefully getting to know one another always marks the beginning of our journey together. Just as each child has his or her own personality, your child too will get accustomed to the new situation at his or her own individual pace. Kinderparadies Day Care Nursery has a great deal of experience to draw from. It begins with a two-week period of “settling in at the nursery”. Depending on the child’s and the parents’ needs, we will individually adjust this period if necessary, so that here at Kinderparadies Day Care Nursery your child’s first days in this new chapter of life go really smoothly.

How do we hire our staff at the day care nursery?
Day care nurseries represent a great training opportunity for young people who are eager to continue learning after finishing school. Taking care of children is more than a profession, it’s a passion, it’s life. And in order for those interested to find out if pursuing this career is their passion, the majority of day care nurseries in Zurich offer internships. After a three-year apprenticeship, the trainees are awarded their Swiss “Fachfrau Betreuung Kind” or “Fachmann Betreuung Kind” (childcare specialist) diploma. Among those interested in continuing their education after graduating, many take courses and opportunities in trainee supervision, group supervision and finally nursery management to further broaden their horizon and become highly sought-after professionals.
